Participate in Discussion and Study

Any churches interested in participating in a study of what individual parishes and parishioners think about the death penalty may contact Anthony Santoro, a Ph.D. Candidate in American studies at the University of Heidelberg. Mr. Santoro's doctoral research will focus on the question of community as it arises in religious discourse on the death penalty within Virginia's churches. NOOMA Videos Available

NOOMA videos are now available in the Diocesan "Resource Center" and may be borrowed.  NOOMA videos are short (10-12 minute) videos with provocative one-word titles that present a life question, religious or spiritual question in an accessable, user-friendly format.  These videos are excellent discussion starters for older youth and adults.  This is a good way to refresh and energize a group that may be getting a little stale.  If you would like more information about these videos or would like to borrow one, email or call Caroline at cblack@diosova.org or 757-213-3377.  Available videos include: Breathe, Flame, Kickball, Lump, Noise, Rain and Trees.
